Only colour composites mock ups are available.
I was only responsible for the look and layout of the site, the coding was handled by the clients.
The current site is under construction.
UniUni (Unified University) is a search engine designed to provide all the information a student could need about university courses and other related information. A simple landing page prompts students to search for keywords and find course information (including timetables, required textbooks, professor reviews, prerequisite courses, digital resources etc.).
The aim of the design was to give the impression of reliability, friendliness, and comfort to freshman students who would otherwise be daunted by their new post-secondary environments. The orange colour scheme helps strikes a nice balance between the warmth of red (without the aggressiveness) and the positivity of yellow (without it's harsh brightness), while evoking imagery of the fall season and it's colourful leaves. Monochromatic colour schemes aren't terribly exciting, but certainly feel safe to the viewer.
Due to time and budget restraints, a proper logo couldn't be made to cement the brand together so a quick bit of text had to do. UniUni is currently in beta, only being used by University of Toronto students during 2014/2015. Once it is done beta, it will likely undergo a rebranding/modification.
My clients often used the words "modules" or "modularity", which not only described how they like to think, but my mentality behind the design of the site as well. The rounded rectangles were the building blocks for the site, and they indicate separate items.
You'll note that I like to inject humour into my mock ups whenever placeholder text is involved.
